It's all about YOU

Philosophy

For me, personal training means reaching YOUR goal together with you. We will define this goal during the initial consultation and set up a framework plan together, which we then keep developing further. To reach our shared goal, I support you by helping you find the best path and by strengthening your long-term motivation. So that we're not fumbling in the dark, we will capture your current status, giving us a benchmark throughout the training process that lets us make your progress visible.

Personal training for personalities

Individual coaching

YOUR goals - it's about YOU - beginner to pro -
Personal training is all about you, whether you're a child, a teenager or retired, whether a beginner or a competitive athlete, each and every one of you is catered to individually. I don't coach in a group, but in a 1:1 setting, one coach and one athlete. Only this way can I guarantee the highest quality and individuality. It's about reaching your goals. To do that we'll develop a plan together, designed to be realistic and tangible, so that we can record each step of progress and secure long-term motivation.

Long-term progress

Training plan - Motivation - Documentation
The goal of personal training is to sustain progress over the long run. To achieve this, we build intrinsic training motivation and new habits on the one hand, and record progress, e.g. through tests, on the other, which in turn leads to higher motivation. To stick with it long-term, we also make sure to prevent injuries. For all of these steps, a systematic plan is worked out in which the goals take center stage and which can be carried on from a few months to several years.

Physical and mental strength

Habits - Challenges - Health
For your progress it's important that you attune your mindset to the training – and you'll notice that you get to know yourself better and develop a new sense of your body. Bringing the mind into the training also helps you leave your comfort zone, take on new challenges and change habits. You learn to overcome your inner couch potato and to be stronger than your excuses. In the long run, personal training therefore makes you stronger both mentally and physically, and improves your quality of life.

Movement Screen

Test and retest - Spot weaknesses - Prevention
The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) serves as the entry point into personal training. With this well-founded method we can capture your level together and spot weaknesses early. Following this movement test, depending on your goals we'll either start training right away or test more specifically. Our goal is to make your progress visible over the course of the personal training by repeatedly testing / screening movements and mobility.

Functional training

Athleticism - Fitness - Body awareness
In personal training we break out of isolated training; we don't train a single muscle, but many muscle groups per movement pattern. Depending on your wishes and the circumstances, I work with the barbell, kettlebell or your own bodyweight. The focus is on improving athleticism (higher, faster, farther), agility (dexterity) and coordination, as well as general fitness, in order to boost performance.

Knowledge at the cutting edge

Competent - Authentic - Professional
Competence is one of the most important qualities I can bring as a personal trainer. What matters is not only technical expertise in the form of the latest findings in training science, but also good communication, in which honesty and openness are held in high regard. It's also important to me to get you to the point where the additional knowledge and skills let you keep working on your goals long-term without personal training.

What you should know / Frequently asked questions

Is a personal trainer right for everyone?

Personal training is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their fitness, make their life healthier or pursue personal goals. So it's not only useful for professional athletes. However, the chemistry between the coach and you has to be right for the personal training to be a success. To ensure this, the no-obligation initial consultation offers the chance to get to know each other, after which both parties can decide whether they want to keep working together.

How much does personal training cost?

Always keep in mind: personal training is an investment in yourself, it's not comparable to a gym membership or joining a club. This is about individual training, where you decide how often you need and want it.

Initial consultation: free
after that: €80 / session

Where does the personal training take place?

In short – wherever you like, be it at your home, outdoors, ideally at the gym or with me in my training room; you can decide the location entirely to your own preferences.

What is discussed in the initial consultation

The initial consultation leaves room to get to know each other and to answer fundamental questions. It's mainly about the goals, the costs, the location, prior injuries, ... of the personal training.

How do I get to my personal training?

Step 1: Get in touch with me and we'll arrange the initial consultation
Step 2: We discuss everything important and fundamental in the initial consultation and get to know each other better
Step 3: Finally, the actual personal training can begin. At the start, movement and mobility tests are carried out to analyze your movement patterns and build on them.

How often should you train with the personal trainer?

This question has to be answered individually. Depending on your goals, personal training can be a one-off creation of a training plan or take place regularly up to three times a week. In the concept that has proven itself for me, training with the personal trainer takes place two to three times a month, where important techniques are taught and the training program is discussed. In the remaining time you can train without a coach according to your tailor-made plan.

Can personal training be used specifically for other sports?

Yes, conditioning is built up specifically depending on the sport, with the focus placed on strength, endurance, coordination or mobility. Through training tailored to the sport, exactly what you're still missing can be trained so you can give it your all.

I still have a question ....

Then contact me here and I'll reply as soon as possible.

My journey

After a childhood spent mostly outdoors, as a teenager I mutated into a computer nerd, some of which is still in me (see this website). When I finally discovered parkour in 2010, I was instantly hooked. Two years later I started my coaching career as a parkour trainer.
From the daily parkour training, though, my body soon showed signs of overload and I struggled with various injuries such as shin splints, jumper's knee, back pain and eventually even a torn medial knee ligament and bone marrow edema in my right ankle. Even back then I started strength training to withstand the physical strain. With each injury I learned more about myself, corrected my movement patterns and poor postures, and looked into the causes of the injuries. Today I can say that I enjoy jumping again, above all because I know that my body can handle it. This is the feeling I want to pass on to you in personal training too.

Continuing education keeps you on top of your game

Specialist literature continuing education Coaches usually gain their expertise through their coaching education. I myself, however, am convinced that we too must constantly keep learning. Always on the lookout for a new course, for a new book, I try to expand my knowledge, true to the motto "learn for life and gather experience". For me, a coach is only as good as the fire burning inside them and as strong as the drive to always give their best and pass on the latest knowledge. You can tell this, for example, by which additional qualifications someone pursues or which reference book is on their shelf.
